ACTBA have announced that 13’s 10’s and 8’s baseball teams will be playing all games at Hawker softball park this season. More information will posted later.

The next committee meeting will be held at the Vikings Town Centre Club Wednesday 3rd September 7-00pm  Players and parents are encouraged to attend and assist with operations of the baseball club.

Woolworths

Woolworths “The Fresh Food People” have announced the Tuggeranong Vikings Baseball Club has been successful in their application to Woolworths for a $5,000 junior sports grant to equip the clubs junior baseballers with new uniforms.

Woolworths who made $1,000,000 available under the grants scheme had around 12,000 sports club apply for a maximum grant of $5,000. That Tuggeranong Vikings Baseball Club were granted the maximum $5,000 is great indication of Woolworths support of junior sport in our region.

The club would like to express a big thank you to Woolworths and look forward to our junior players running onto the diamond in their new uniforms. The cost of uniforms has always been a big deterrent for parents to involve their children in baseball but thanks to Woolworths this burden has been lifted from parents who register their children with the Vikings.

Players who want to practice hitting and throwing have started training at vikings park 2-00pm Sundays, all welcome.

The second and third registration days will be held on 20th & 27th September 12-00 - 4-00pm Vikings Club Erindale
